What I usually find in London homes.
Most carpets in London homes are wool, wool-mix or synthetic, from fitted wool in Victorian and Edwardian terraces to hard-wearing synthetics in newer flats and rentals.
The soiling is mostly foot traffic, pet hair, food and drink, and the greasy build-up that regular vacuuming doesn’t shift. None of that needs miracle chemistry, just the right machine, the right pre-treatment, and someone willing to take their time.
You deal with me from the first message to the final check. With around 15 years of experience across London, I clean the carpets myself.

I identify the fibre, look at each stain, tell you what will come out and what might not, then clean room by room.
Before I leave
We look at it together
We walk through the rooms together. Anything that needs more attention gets it straight away, and you’ll know when it’s ready to walk on.
The full carpet process (8 steps)
- Arrival & walk-through. I arrive at the agreed time and we walk through the rooms together. You show me anything you’re worried about, stains, worn areas, spots the pets like.
- Fibre & stain check. I identify the fibre and look at the condition, the soiling and each stain, then tell you honestly what I expect to achieve.
- Preparing the room. We agree what needs moving. Hoses and equipment are set up so your home stays clean and easy to walk through.
- Dry vacuum. A thorough vacuum first to lift dry soil, grit and pet hair, the clean goes deeper when this is done properly.
- Pre-treatment. A pre-spray matched to the fibre, plus targeted treatment on individual stains, left to work on the built-up grime.
- Agitation. The solution is gently worked into the pile so it reaches the dirt at the base of the fibres.
- Hot water extraction. The carpet is rinsed and the dirt and residue extracted with a professional machine, often called steam cleaning.
- Final check & drying advice. We look at the result together. I explain drying time and aftercare, tidy up, and leave you with clean carpets.

How do I get a quote for carpet cleaning?
Send me a few photos of the carpets on WhatsApp and tell me roughly which rooms or areas need cleaning. I’ll come back to you with a clear, no-obligation quote.
Can you remove every stain?
Not always, and I’ll be honest about that. It depends on the stain, the carpet fibre and how long it has been there. I’ll tell you what I believe can realistically be achieved before I start.
How long will my carpet take to dry?
It depends on the carpet, how soiled it was and the ventilation in the room. I’ll give you a realistic estimate on the day, along with tips to help it dry faster.
Do I need to know what my carpet is made of?
No. Identifying the fibre is part of my job, wool, synthetics and blends all need a slightly different approach, and I check it before I start.
Do I need to move furniture before you arrive?
Tell me what’s in the room when you send photos and we’ll agree beforehand what needs moving, so there are no surprises on the day.
Is there a minimum booking?
Yes, the minimum booking is £80. Your final price is based on what we discuss before the appointment.
