The Raccoon approach
Every job needs the right approach.
Good cleaning isn’t about treating everything the same way.
Before I start, I assess the material, its condition and what has happened to it. Then I choose the most appropriate approach for the job.
I’ll always be honest about what can realistically be achieved. I don’t make promises just to win a job, and I won’t recommend a treatment simply because I can charge extra for it.

The process
What a carpet clean involves.
A typical carpet clean, always adjusted to the fibre, condition and stains I find.

Dry vacuum
Removing dry soil, dust and pet hair first, so the clean can go deeper.

Pre-spray
A solution matched to the fibre loosens built-up grime and soiling.

Agitation
The solution is gently worked into the pile to release dirt from the fibres.

Hot water extraction
Often called steam cleaning, rinsing and extracting dirt and residue.

Raccoon Carpet Cleaning came from a simple idea. After years of working with established cleaning companies across London, I felt it was time to do things my own way.
I’ve spent around 15 years working with carpets, upholstery and different materials. That experience taught me that good cleaning starts with understanding what you’re working with, not following the same process every time.
Raccoon is my way of bringing that experience into a more personal service. You speak directly to me, I assess the work myself, and I carry it out myself.
There’s also a bigger idea behind the business: helping people understand what their carpets and furniture are made of, and how to look after them properly.
It’s a simple business: you deal with me, and I do the work.

How do I get a quote?

Can you remove every stain?
Not always, and I’ll be honest about that. It depends on the stain, the material and how long it has been there. I’ll tell you what I believe can realistically be achieved before I start.
How long will my carpet or upholstery take to dry?
It depends on the material, the cleaning method and ventilation in the room. I’ll give you a realistic estimate on the day, along with tips to help it dry faster.
Do I need to know what type of material I have?
No. Assessing the material is part of my job. Care labels help if you have them, but I’ll always check it myself before choosing the cleaning approach.
Is there a minimum booking?
