What it does
Time to blot, not a force field.
A fabric protector coats the fibres so liquids bead on the surface instead of soaking straight in. That gives you time to blot a spill before it becomes a stain, and helps dry soil vacuum out more easily.
It’s applied straight after cleaning, while the fibres are clean, and is suitable for most carpets, rugs and fabric upholstery. I’ll check the material first and tell you if protection isn’t a good idea.
You deal with me from the first message to the final check. With around 15 years of experience across London, I apply it myself.

The full protection process (8 steps)
- Material check. Some fabrics don’t need or suit a protector.
- Thorough clean. Protection only goes on clean fibres.
- Rinse & extraction. No cleaning residue left underneath.
- Even application. Sprayed evenly across the whole surface.
- Worked in. Brushed gently so it reaches the sides of the fibres.
- Curing. Left to dry and bond as the item dries.
- Spill test. A drop of water should bead on the surface.
- Aftercare advice. Blot, don’t rub, and when to reapply.

Does it make my carpet stain-proof?
No. Nothing does. It slows spills down so you have time to blot them before they soak in.
How long does protection last?
It wears gradually with use and cleaning. Busy areas usually benefit from reapplying after each professional clean.
Is it safe for children and pets?
Yes, once it has dried. I’ll tell you when the area can be used again.
Can it go on any fabric?
Most carpets, rugs and fabric upholstery, yes. I check the material first and tell you if it isn’t suitable.
Can I add it without a clean?
It works best on freshly cleaned fibres, so I apply it after cleaning rather than on its own.
How much does it cost?
It’s added to the price of your clean, mention it when you send photos and you’ll get one clear quote.
